Infinix Hot 40i is set to make its debut in India this week, as confirmed by the Chinese smartphone brand on Monday. The anticipation is building up on Flipkart, which has dedicated a microsite to tease the launch of the new Infinix Hot series smartphones. Previously introduced in select global markets in December last year alongside the Infinix Hot 40 and Infinix Hot 40 Pro, the Infinix Hot 40i is powered by Unisoc T606 SoC and features an impressive 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
Transsion Holdings' subsidiary, via X, has officially announced the launch of Infinix Hot 40i in India. Flipkart's dedicated microsite confirms that the handset will be unveiled on February 16 at 12:00pm IST. Positioned in the sub-Rs. 10,000 category, the device is teased to offer 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and 8GB of virtual memory.
With a global release in December 2023, the Infinix Hot 40i debuted alongside the regular Infinix Hot 40 and Infinix Hot 40 Pro, priced at SAR 375 (approximately Rs. 8,300) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB model in Saudi Arabia.
The global variant of the Infinix Hot 40i features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a variable refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 90Hz and peak brightness of 480 nits. It is powered by a Unisoc T606 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.
In terms of photography, the Infinix Hot 40i boasts an AI-backed dual camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, complemented by a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. It includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
